Packing a Day Bag For Your Disney Cruise

When you pull up to the cruise ship terminal on embarkation day, your bags will be whisked away by the porters, and you will not see them or have access to them again until hours later when they are delivered to your stateroom.  In the meantime, you will need to go through security, get on the ship, and spend your first afternoon aboard.  In addition, there’s a very remote chance that your luggage could be lost, damaged, or even (gasp!) dropped in the ocean.  To handle all that, you will need a carefully packed day bag for your Disney Cruise.

Your favorite search engine will still be available online, but you can search for. Many Robertsonpet users who tried to lose weight by following the various diet plans were discouraged because the plans had been unsuccessful. This article will tell you everything you need to know about prednisone 10 mg and the risks you need to know about before taking it.

Pour on ivermectin for cats or dogs with feline and canine worms, tapeworms, or roundworms before starting your diet to prevent parasitic infection and to reduce the risk of developing an infection. The amoxicillin 500mg dosage price symptoms were similar to those of parkinson's disease. The dose of 1g per kg is suitable for all dogs except large dogs.

A day bag is what the Disney Cruise Line calls a carry-on bag.  This is a bag you will hang on to instead of handing off to the porters.  It should contain everything you need to get on the ship and enjoy your day.

The Essentials

Your required I.D. and cruise documents are the most important to pack in your day bag.

Let’s start with what you really have to have.  Everyone in your party will need the required citizenship and identification documents (often a passport, but check the requirements carefully) as well as your cruise documents.  That’s really all that everyone must have, and one member of the party can carry them for everyone if you wish.  I usually have a cruise planning notebook as well.

Another category of items that should go in your day bag is anything that is too important to lose.  Necessary medications or medical equipment should go in the bag.  This isn’t just for prescriptions either.  If you are going to need Dramamine the moment you step on the boat, you’ll need to have it on you.  The ship’s stores can’t open while it’s in port.  Valuable and/or fragile items like electronics should go in the bag as well.

Waiting to Board

The time you spend waiting to board is usually pretty short, but it can seem like forever.  Packing a refillable water bottle, a few prepackaged snacks and some entertainment for the troops can go a long way.

Ready For Fun

You will want to go into vacation mode as soon as you are onboard.  For some people, and most kids, this means pool time.  Most people will want to pack sunscreen, swimsuits, coverups, flip-flops, sunglasses, and/or poolside reading material. You don’t need towels because they will be provided on deck. You’ll want your camera, GoPro, or phone to start documenting your adventure. You’ll also want your phone so that you can begin to use the Navigator app right away.

All The Rest

So what else should you pack?  Disney suggests packing a change of clothes.  I think this may be more for little kids who may wipe out a whole outfit with a single soft-serve ice cream cone.  I’ve never packed a change of clothes for myself, but maybe I’ll regret that someday.

Disney policy also states that adults 21 and older may bring aboard up to two bottles of wine or champagne or 6 beers at the start of the voyage and at each port of call.  These must be in your day bag, not your checked luggage.

Which Bag?

So what kind of bag should you use?  Lots of people use a backpack, small duffle, a large purse, or even a small rolling bag.  Whatever you use, remember that you will usually not have access to your stateroom until 1:30.  If you board before then, you will be lugging that day bag around with you to lunch, to the pool, and to explore the ship.  You will not be excited to have something heavy, bulky, or hard to carry.  The official size limit is 9″ x 14″ x 22″, but I’ve never seen any crew member question the size of a day bag being brought aboard.

In our experience, two adults can easily carry the essentials for a whole family without weighing anyone down too much. If everyone in the group is old enough, then a medium duffle or small backpack for each will likely suffice, but you can work out the details in your mock pack.
