What About Other Needs?
What about other items like pajamas, swim suits, and flip-flops? The stores on the ships have a pretty decent selection of the types of clothing items you are likely to need. As well as the items listed above, you’ll find water bottles, sunglasses, socks, sweatshirts, tote bags, and even full-size suitcases. On a recent Alaska cruise, Sea Treasures carried binoculars and cold weather gear. The items sold in the onboard shops usually have Disney theming (which may or may not be a plus for you) and while they won’t be at a bargain price, they probably won’t be what you’d consider to be ridiculous prices either. It’s usually more than worth the price to get your vacation back on track so you can enjoy your cruise.
And If The Shop Is Closed?
It’s important to remember that the onboard shops are not open while the ship is in port. For important medical issues, however, you might try the ship’s medical center. My husband remembers stopping by there one day when the ship was rolling a lot, and there was a fishbowl full of motion sickness medication sitting out on the counter.
