6 Reasons To Visit The Disneyland Resort During The Holidays (And 2 Reasons Not To)

Disneyland Resort Holidays, Main Street
We had a blast!

One year we surprised the kids with a trip to Disneyland at the start of their winter break.  We knew we’d have a great time because—Disneyland.  However, we’d never done the parks for the holidays before as a family, so that was a new experience for us.  It was lots of fun, so we wanted to share what we learned.

Amoxicillin is also used to treat bacterial infections of the urinary tract and of the ear, throat and respiratory tract, such as bacterial pneumonia and sinusitis. The widespread use of these drugs is expected to reduce skimpily the incidence of disease, decrease mortality, and improve the quality of life of patients worldwide \[[@r1]\]. Both drugs are used for conditions like infertility, irregular menses, and menopause.

A doctor will give you a prescription and then send you out to buy zoloft. The product comes in two clomid pills cost pill formats (one with caffeine and the other without caffeine) and a capsule. Reasons to go to the Disneyland Resort during the Holidays:

1. The Decorations

The castle is beyond compare for festive glamor, but holiday flair is everywhere.  Each area of the resort has its own, beautifully themed decorations.  At the Redwood Creek Challenge trail, the decorations are all very natural.  On Buena Vista Street, decorations look like they are 1930’s vintage.  Carsland has it’s own 60’s vibe with a Cars twist.  Flo’s V8 Cafe has a white flocked tree hung with records from Flo’s musical career.

2.  The Music

The decorations in each area are accompanied by themed holiday music as well.  I particularly liked the nostalgic tunes on Buena Vista Street and Main Street, but the areas of California Adventure that host the Festival of the Holidays food stands have a very fun and eclectic collection of world music to compliment the foods they offer.  There are also special live musical performances.

3.  The Food

There are lots of specialty treats available only during the holidays such as handmade candy canes from the Candy Palace on Main Street or specialty themed churros and milkshakes.  Disney California Adventure is host to the Festival of Holidays with a whole array of food booths offering foods to represent some of the many winter holidays celebrated around the world.  These are perfect for sharing and grazing.

4.  The Experiences

Some things can only be experienced during the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort.  It snows on Main Street.  You can meet Santa.  The fireworks, the parades, and World of Color have special holiday versions.  The Haunted Mansion and “it’s a small world” have special holiday overlays that change the experience.

5.  The Weather

This one is completely debatable, but I prefer Anaheim’s winter weather to its summer weather.  We were never hot in December, and we didn’t have to worry about getting sunburned.  On the other hand, we all froze watching World of Color, but we could have planned better.

6.  The Vibe

Decorations at Flo’s V-8 Cafe were themed for a 60’s Cars vibe.

This is really a combination of all of the above.  I was a little worried that holiday time at the parks would just be a frenetic Christmas extravaganza of flashing lights and relentlessly cheery music.  There is some of that, like in “it’s a small world holiday.”  On the other hand, when the Christmas fireworks came to an end and it began to snow on Main Street, they played a rather peaceful, dreamy version of White Christmas.  World of Color had a fun, crazy section from the Nutcracker but ended with “Let There Be Peace On Earth.”  The Festival of the Holidays celebrates more than just the Christmas Holiday, which adds nice variety.  Overall, the vibe was fun, but surprisingly calm.

Reasons you might not want to go to Disneyland Resort during the Holidays:

1. The Crowds

If you don’t plan carefully, you can end up with crazy crowds.  If you  go the week before or the week after Christmas, expect the parks to be packed.  On the other hand, if you can go midweek in early December, it will probably be reasonable.

2.  It’s Different

If you love the vibe in the summer or spring break, then this might not be the time for you to come.  You have to pack a jacket.  Main Street looks different.  Mickey and Minnie will be wearing holiday costumes instead of their classic outfits.  If the park is supposed to be a certain way in your mind, you might rather wait until things are back to normal.
