The Landis Hotel and Suites in Vancouver Canada

The Landis Hotel and Suites  is one of our favorite places to stay when we are in Vancouver, B.C.  It gives us plenty of space and convenience and is located in downtown.  I think the thing we like most about it is that instead of feeling like tourists in a hotel, we get experience what …

Nando’s Restaurant

Nando’s is a  counter service restaurant we usually visit whenever we are in British Columbia.  The main offering at Nando’s is Portuguese Peri-Peri chicken which is flame grilled and flavored with Peri-Peri sauce made from African Bird’s Eye Chillies from Mozambique.  Peri-Peri sauce also has garlic and citrus flavors to it, and while it is …

Granville Island Kids Market

By Lee, Age 10 Okay– Granville Island Kids Market, let’s talk about that. The Kids Market is basically a bunch of toy stores put together in one building. If your cruise leaves from San Diego, you’ll likely be using the B Street Pier and Cruise Ship Terminal.  On the Disney Cruise Line, this includes the Mexican Riviera cruises.  California Coast cruises and the Panama Canal cruises will either begin or end in San Diego.  If you’ve cruised out of other ports, the San …

Seattle’s Starbucks Reserve Roastery

The Starbucks Reserve Roastery is about as Seattle as it gets–coffee, wood, and bearded baristas in leather aprons.  Arguably, it may be a better tourist stop than the iconic Pike Place Market Starbucks, though I don’t think you’ll score a “You are Here” mug at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery.

Haunted Mansion Holiday

By Erin, age 10 On our recent trip to Disneyland, we rode all the holiday themed rides. One of them was Haunted Mansion–holiday themed now, of course. Everything from the elevator, to the basic ride content, to the hologram that turns you into stuff or “adds another passenger” changed. That change was that the ride …

“it’s a small world” Holdiay

by Remus, age 10

On our most recent trip to Disneyland, we got to ride on “it’s a small world” Holiday. Since “it’s a small world” is one of my favorite rides, I was really excited to ride it.

“It’s a small world” Holiday is really different from the original. For instance, part of the song has the lyrics and melody from Jingle Bells and Deck the Halls. It’s also decorated for the holidays, obviously.
