The Vibe
Early in September the fun begins with decorations all over both parks, the Downtown Disney area, and the resort hotels. The Mainstreet Pumpkin festival features fanciful character pumpkins and an Instagram-worthy giant Mickey Pumpkin. Reimagined Attractions
Every year the Haunted Mansion gets a seasonal twist with a Nightmare Before Christmas overlay the will stay up until after Christmas. This isn’t just the decorations you see on the outside of the Haunted Mansion. The whole storyline of the ride changes to match the movie theming. In Disney California Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy, Luigi’s Rollicking Roadsters, and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree all have special holiday touches too including music, lighting effects, and decorations.
The Food
One of the biggest draws of Halloween Time at Disneyland is all the selection of seasonal treats. Special foods are available all around both parks, the hotels, and even the Downtown Disney area. Pumpkin treats and specially decorated sweets can be found everywhere. The Main Street Bakery in Disneyland and Trolley Treats in DCA are great places to find special sweet treats, but there are special offerings wherever you look.
Oogie Boogie Bash
The Oogie Boogie Bash is a special evening event with a separate ticket that takes place at Disney California Adventure on select evenings in the fall. This is a chance for guests to dress in costume, trick-or-treat in the parks, and enjoy special entertainment only available during the party. This is such a popular even that the event sells out months in advance.
