3 Reasons 3 Night Disney Cruises Are Too Short

Full disclosure: I think all Disney cruises are too short. I’d like to just ride around on the Disney Fleet forever. However, this is not just about my lazy aspirations. You have limited vacation time and money. With that in mind, here are 3 compelling reasons I think 3 or even 4 night Disney Cruises are just too short.

The most common side effects include: nausea, vomiting, and headache. Amoxil cost is http://pugetsoundarma.org/olympiawa/ the name given to the price a drug company pays a doctor in a particular area or country. Ordering amoxicillin for your kids is a simple process, just choose the dosage from the options available.

Generic birth control is a big question that has been with men and women for a long time. I have been prescribed vidr for the past Saint Paul three months at the age of forty seven. The best option for you to get the most effective and longest lasting pain relief is a natural treatment.

1. You won’t get your adult time.

If you aren’t taking kids or you have very independent kids, then you can probably ignore this one. The first trip we ever took, our kids were 5, 5, and 10. It took until the second day to find out that the 10 year old could go to the tween club if we signed a waver. It took until the 3rd day before the 5 year olds were okay with going to the clubs without us. We logged a lot of time in the Disney Oceaneer Club and Lab during open house times during the beginning of the trip. Wed didn’t get any real adult time until then. On subsequent trips, our kids have been older and already know they will enjoy the clubs, so it’s not as big a deal.

2. Limited Itineraries

Most 3 night Disney Cruises go to Nassau and Castaway Cay. That’s it. While those may be fun, there’s a whole lot more to be discovered and experienced. Longer cruises go to Mexico, the Caribbean, Alaska, Europe, Canada, and more.

You can see Alaska on 5-7- or 9 night Disney Cruises.

3. You won’t get to do it all.

It takes more than 3 nights to get to know your Disney Cruise ship. On a 3 night cruise, you’ll only get to eat once at each of the main dining venues, and that’s if you don’t go to Palo or Remi or take a night to just order room service. Will you watch the evening’s entertainment in the Walt Disney Theater, or will you check out the adult entertainment area of the ship? Will you take part in a trivia contest, or will you lounge by the pool? Honestly, you can never do it all anyway, but 3 nights barely gives you a taste.

There isn’t time to get to every activity in a 3 night cruise.

On the other hand…

Okay, there might be some good reasons to take 3 night Disney Cruises.

1. It’s what you can afford.

Maybe a 3 night cruise is all the time or money you can afford. My immediate impulse is just to suggest waiting until you’ve saved enough money or vacation days for a longer one. However, being stuck at home during the pandemic has given many people a different perspective. Maybe it’s better to do what you can right now, while you know you can. That’s valid.

2. It’s a test run.

In general, I wouldn’t advise taking a short cruise if you’re not sure you are a “cruise person.” If you’re wondering that, it usually means you’re looking for the kind of vacation that the longer cruises offer–both more adventure and more time to relax. Shorter cruises are more like deck party, beach, deck party, fireworks, and off the ship!

However, there may be some other reasons you need a shorter test run. If someone in your party is prone to motion sickness or has special needs, a shorter trip may be wise. You don’t want to spend 7 days throwing up. You don’t want to put a child with special needs through an unknown amount of stress that may or may not be worth it. Maybe 3 or 4 night Disney Cruises are the baby steps you need to take to see if a longer cruise will be doable.

3. You’re an experienced cruiser getting in a quick fix.

I once read about a family who lived in Florida and took Disney Cruises fairly often. During a low time, they noticed a great last-minute cruise fare. As a fun getaway, they quit work early on Friday and picked their child up from school at noon. They were on the ship by 2:00 p.m. and at the Sail Away party before their regular quitting time. Saturday they were in Nassau, and they spent Sunday at Castaway Cay. The family ate at all three restaurants and did their favorite activities. On Monday they used express walk-off to leave the ship first thing. They drove straight from the port to drop their daughter off at school and were both at work on time for the day. This was not an ideal cruise, but it was an epic weekend!

The bottom line is that I think longer cruises are more satisfying and a better value for your time and money. If a 3 day cruise is what works for your family, then I bet you’ll have an awesome time.

The only cruise I have ever been was a three day, two night cruise to nowhere. Wonderful but way too short. Now I really, really want to go on a 7 day cruise to Alaska. Looking at itineraries, that is going to be too short, as well.

  2. Agreed! All three-day cruises are too short…but for a Disney cruise, it’s way too short! Hoping to get to do a Disney European cruise some time in the next few years…with a few extra days added at Disneyland Paris. One can dream!

    • I like how you think! We’ve got a Disney European cruise planned for 2022, and we’re trying to decide if we should spend some time at Disneyland Paris.
