As you near the Funko HQ retail store you know you’re in the right place because you start to see giant Funko figures everywhere–on the street, on the building, and even guarding the pedestrian overpass to a nearby building. Funko has been based in Everett since it got its start 20 years ago, but the new HQ at 2802 Wetmore Avenue in Everett is a must-do for fans. And as Funko says, “Everyone is a fan of something.”

What is it?
Shopping at Funko is an immersive experience on a par with the Disney Store. While there are thousands of products to choose from, they aren’t the main focus. Walking into the store is a little like standing in the Hub on Mainstreet in Disneyland. From the center of the store, huge icons draw you into themed areas that radiate from the center. There is, in fact, a huge Disney Castle to anchor the Disney-themed area. There are also areas for Harry Potter, Marvel, Star Wars, D.C. Comics, t.v. and pop culture, anime, and Funko’s original Wetmore Forest characters. Some of these areas are elaborately themed with special displays, lighting and sound effects. The Harry Potter section, in particular, is worth some time exploring.
So what do you do?
Besides shopping, you may want to explore the theming and take pictures. There are many places where you can get in the picture such as posing next to Batman in the Batmobile. Wetmore forest also features a video game and an animated cartoon. There’s even a place where you can create and buy your own Funko Pop! figure similar to creating your own Lego minifig at a Lego store.
What can you buy?
In addition to the popular Funko Pop! figures, there are more types of figures than I knew existed: Vinyl, Vynl (not the same) Dorbz, Pocket Pop, Wobblers, and action figures are some of the figures you can find.  You can also shop for plushies, t-shirts, mugs, party lights, pens, keychains, and an extensive collection of Loungefly bags.

The Batmobile is a good place for pictures for sure.
I’m also partial to the ice cave in the Star Wars area.
