Lake Tye Park in Monroe is not only a nice community park, it is also a very convenient rest stop for people traveling over Stevens Pass on Highway 2. The Facilities

The Lake
A sandy beach area that hugs the southern end of the 43 acre man-made lake is very popular with kids in warm weather. They can dig in the sand or even wade in the water, though there are no lifeguards. There is a pedestrian boat launch, and the lake is open to fishing year round. A mile and a half path circles the lake and is popular with joggers, walkers, and bicyclists. It links to other community paths as well.
The Skate Park
The Monroe Board and Blade park is located on the north side of the parking lot. While I don’t have much experience with skate parks, I would say that it was moderately sized and in good condition. It’s close enough to the rest of the park to have easy access to the other facilities, but it’s also far enough away that people at the playground don’t hear it if someone at the skate park is playing music. There are benches in the park for spectators or long-suffering parents.
